Borrowing books at the Medical Library

As of May 1st new lending rules apply! The new rules will also apply on books borrowed before this date!

The physical collection of the Medical  Library can be found in the Book wall. Books are on the ground floor and are sorted by subject. Journals can be found on the first, second and third floor and are sorted alphabetically.

Publications can be borrowed using the Lendomaat in the Book wall. If you’re an employee, your Erasmus MC-pass is your loan card. Students of the Erasmus MC or EUR use their college card as loan card. Individuals with a loan card of the Medical Library use this card and people who just want to use the collection once can use a day pass. For more information about loan cards, click here.

Red labeled publications: one-day-loan
Red labeled  publications are borrowed for 1 day. These publications have to be returned the same day, 15 minutes before closing. If a publication is not back, it will be considered “tardy”.

Blue or white labeled publications

The term for publications that are reserved is not a week, but three days.

For red labeled publications a fine is added per day, excluding the recall costs. See this example.

Beware:
- On days the Medical Library is closed, the fine will be added anyway.
