To stimulate and support young researchers, every year the Erasmus MC Board of Directors awards research grants in four different programs:
Erasmus MC Grants
Contributions to pilot and PhD projects, to stimulate simultaneously cooperation between different Erasmus MC departments and between fundamental (biomedical or health science) and clinical research.
Erasmus MC Cost-Effectiveness Research (Doelmatigheidsonderzoek)
Contributions to pilot and PhD projects, to stimulate cost-effectiveness evaluations of diagnostic or therapeutic medical interventions.
Erasmus MC Care Research (Zorgonderzoek)
Contributions to PhD and post-doc projects to stimulate nurses and other paramedical professionals to build up a tradition in scientifically evaluation of patient oriented care interventions.
Erasmus MC Fellowships
Fellowship bursaries for very talented young researchers who, after their first post-doc period, are building up their own research program.
Grants are awarded after competition mainly for scientific quality and relevance. Applications are judged and selected by subcommittees of the Erasmus MC Medical research advisory committee (Mrace).
Yearly deadlines and program regulations are published in the Erasmus MC Research Newsletter and the intranet site of Erasmus MC (only available for Erasmus MC employees).
