Postdocs in Erasmus MC.
Erasmus MC is developing activities for postdocs within the Erasmus MC. For instance, an internal Erasmus MC postdoc-network is currently being set up, and regular meetings or workshops will be organised with topics that are of special interest for this target group. In addition, Erasmus MC supports the activities of the Postdoc Career Decelopment Initiative, PCDI (www.pcdi.nl). PCDI encourages and assists young scientists in life sciences, technology and health-related fields to make the right next step in their career. PCDI yearly organizes a three-day retreat for early career researchers (postdocs and last year PhDs) to explore their career possibilities. Workshops in career planning and transferable skills, meet and greets with employers, and discussions on shaping a career in the life sciences and related fields are all part of the programme.
