Ilgin is a PhD student in the field of knee and hip osteoarthritis at the Department of General Practice at Erasmus MC. She worked as a physiotherapist in primary care and finished a Master of Science in Clinical Epidemiology.
During her master programme, she was involved in a research project for the prevention of musculoskeletal injuries in armed forces in collaboration with the Dutch Ministry of Defence.
Her current research project focuses on optimizing healthcare for people with knee and hip osteoarthritis through evaluating a new healthcare setting, in which specialist services are implemented in primary care settings: intermediate care.
Additionally, she focuses on identifying preferences for healthcare for knee and hip osteoarthritis.
