Lucia Campos Carrascosa studied Biomedical Sciences at the University of Marburg, Germany and majored in ‘infection and immunity’ (2009-2013). In her fast-track Ph.D. at the Biomedical Research Center in Marburg she focused on the epigenetic regulation of Th9 cell plasticity (2014-2017, supervisor Prof. Magdalena Huber). During that time she worked with Prof. Shimon Sakaguchi in Osaka and earned a stipend of the German Academic Scholarship Foundation. Subsequently she joined Jaap Kwekkeboom’s group at the Institute for Gastroenterology and Hepatology at the Erasmus MC to study new investigational drugs to reinvigorate the activity of tumor-infiltrating T cells.
