Iris Hartog is a lecturer in Medical Ethics and Philosophy, specialized in the self-chosen death, suffering, meaning in life and quality of life.
In addition she works as a postdoctoral researcher at the Center of Expertise Palliative Care, Leiden University Medical Center, and as an ethicist in one of the Regional Review Committees Euthanasia.
Iris obtained her PhD in 2021 at the Radboud University Nijmegen, following a research project conducted at the department of Medical Psychology, Amsterdam UMC. Her dissertation is about the influence of narrative meaning making and integration on quality of life.
