Erasmus MC ward visiting hours
The visiting times on the wards are from 11am to 9pm. You may receive visitors during these times as long as you are not undergoing examinations or treatments.
Erasmus MC Sophia Children’s Hospital visiting hours
The visiting hours at Erasmus MC Sophia Children’s Hospital are from 2pm to 8pm. Resting time is between 12 noon and 2pm and no visitors are allowed. Other times apply for parents/carers and for the Obstetrics department.
Parents or carers are welcome at any time, 24/7. Additional information can be found under 'Opname’ (Admission, dutch only).
Hospital visitor guidelines
- No more than two visitors are allowed to visit the child at one time; visitors can take turns visiting the child.
- If you wish to visit a patient when the parents/carers are not present, you may only do so with their permission.
- Children under the age of 6, with the exception of siblings, are not allowed to visit patients. Exceptions to this rule are possible; please consult the nurse in the department. Other rules apply to children visiting patients in intensive care and critical care units. Always consult the child’s parents/carers before visiting.
Do not visit a patient if you are ill or have been exposed to an infectious disease.
Partners are welcome from 9am to 10pm. Siblings may join you as long as they stay with you. Resting time is between 12 noon and 2:30pm. We ask you to respect the peace and quiet of the patients in the department.
Other visitors are welcome from 3pm to 8pm. No more than two visitors are allowed to visit the patient at one time. Visitors can take turns visiting the patient by staying in the waiting room.
We ask visitors to wait in the waiting room while the patient receives medical or nursing care.
