Tom Cupedo

The Cupedo Lab studies the development and function of human and mouse innate lymphoid cells. We are interested in understanding how the interaction between type 3 innate lymphoid cells (ILC3) and their stromal microenvironment shapes biological processes as diverse as lymph node organogenesis and intestinal immunity.
Our ultimate goal is to control and direct ILC3-mediated immunity after intestinal damage to increase mucosal healing in patient with inflammatory bowel diseases or intestinal graft versus host disease.
We combine animal models with studies on primary human tissues and cells allowing for the immediate translation and validation of experimental findings.
