Erasmus MC Graduate School offers PhD education and training that focusses on improving theoretical knowledge of a specific topic, or on improving certain skills that you need as an independent scientist. 

PhD Competence Model

The PhD education and training that Erasmus MC Graduate School offers is based on the PhD Competence Model. The PhD Competence Model is a professional development and self-assessment framework originally developed by Dutch University Medical Centers (UMCs). It helps PhD candidates monitor their progress, identify training needs, and prepare for careers both inside and outside of academia.
