The municipality of Rotterdam will increase parking fees in all car parks (including the Museumpark garage) as of 1 January 2025. To prevent visitors of surrounding facilities from using the parking garages on Wytemaweg and Westzeedijk, Erasmus MC will also raise rates as of 1 January.
Paul Boomkamp reappointed as director and CFO Erasmus MC
The Supervisory Board has reappointed Dr Paul Boomkamp as member and CFO of the Erasmus MC Executive Board. The reappointment takes effect from 1 November 2024 and is for a period of five years.
Corona is on the rise: wear a facemask when visiting hospitalized patients
The autumn wave has begun and the number of corona cases is increasing rapidly. It is therefore mandatory to wear a facemask within 1.5 meters of admitted patients. Wearing a facemask is important to protect the patient’s health. You can get a facemask from the nurses and other healthcare professionals on the ward.
Extra travel time due to roadworks on the Westzeedijk
From 16 July to 16 October road works will take place on the Westzeedijk, including near the Westzeedijk parking garage (which will remain open during the road works). The activities will have an impact on the Erasmus MC staff, patients and visitors.
Het Erasmus MC heeft in 2021, het tweede coronajaar een financieel resultaat geboekt van €46 miljoen. Dit resultaat bedraagt 2.2% van de omzet van €2.1 miljard. Deze cijfers zijn inclusief de bijdrage van het ADRZ. In 2020 was het resultaat €13 miljoen, omgerekend 0.7% van de omzet.

Under the watchful eye of a real tree expert the old 'Daniel tree' was moved this week. The tree stood next to the Daniel den Hoed Family House and was given a beautiful new location a few hundred meters away on the Groene Hilledijk.
The Diversity & Inclusion Office of Erasmus MC will organize, together with VENA (network of female academics in Erasmus MC), for the first time an (online) program for International Women's Day on March 8. This is a day on which we pay attention to social, cultural, economic and political achievements of women all over the world.
