Collaborations

At the national level, we are partner within the Dutch Federation of University Medical Centers (NFU) and contribute to the national sector plans.

Regionally, Erasmus MC is part of the Convergence initiative, working together with TU Delft and Erasmus University Rotterdam. In addition we are a member of the Medical Delta consortium, which brings together academic and applied science partners across South Holland.

On a broader scale, Erasmus MC engages in strategic alliances such as the European University Hospital Alliance (EUHA), and is a core partner in Health-RI, both of which aim to advance data-driven health research in the Netherlands and Europe.

NFU

Erasmus MC is a key partner in the NFU’s research and innovation agenda, contributing to impactful scientific research through collaboration, knowledge sharing, and international partnerships. Its strong research profile supports innovation in healthcare and public health.

Convergence

The urgent and complex societal challenges of our time call for convergence; transcending boundaries between institutes and disciplines to create new perspectives and solutions. For this reason, TU Delft, Erasmus MC and Erasmus University Rotterdam have joined forces in Convergence.

Medical Delta

Medical Delta is a transdisciplinary partnership of universities, medical centers, and universities of applied sciences in Zuid-Holland. In collaboration with businesses, healthcare institutions, and governments, it develops innovative solutions for sustainable healthcare through research programs and living labs, acting as a key hub in the regional health innovation ecosystem.

EUHA

The European University Hospital Alliance (EUHA) aims to build sustainable healthcare ecosystems in Europe by promoting excellence in care, research, and education. Through collaboration, knowledge exchange, and policy engagement, EUHA highlights the vital role of university hospitals in advancing health systems.

Health-RI

The National Health Data Portal offers integrated access to high-quality health data, tools, and training to make scattered data easier to find and use. The portal is continuously improved in collaboration with partners to support data users, holders, and citizens. In 2025, new features will include a request tool with a personal dashboard and a secure processing environment.
