About O. (Ozair) Abawi, MD
Pediatric obesity
My research focusses on phenotyping children and adolescents visiting a specialized pediatric obesity center to develop personalized diagnostic and therapeutic algorithms.
In our Obesity Center CGG, we deploy a holistic diagnostic approach to identify underlying endocrine, genetic, cerebral, or medication-induced causes of obesity and subsequently provide personalized treatment advices.
Congenital adrenal hyperplasia
We are currently involved in a European multi-center observational study in which we aim to develop novel monitoring tools for the treatment of congenital adrenal hyperplasia. These novel tools involve metabolomics in hair, serum and urine samples.
