About Dr. H. (Hilde) Brouwers-Da Silva
Introduction
Hilde Brouwers – da Silva finished her biomedical sciences education at the Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam. Thereafter she completed her PhD in the field of osteoarthritis and fatty acids at the Leiden University Medical Center at the department of Rheumatology under the supervision of Prof. dr. René Toes, Prof. de. Margreet Kloppenburg and dr. Andreea Ioan-Facsinay. During her PhD Hilde gained interest around various aspects of biobanking such as logistics, ethics and quality of biomaterials. In 2019 she started as biobank coördinator at the Central Biobank of the Erasmus MC which was founded in 2019. In 2021 Hilde officially became the Head of the Central Biobank.
