About I.L. (Isabel) de Bruijn

Introduction

In 2025, I graduated with a degree in Technical Medicine from the University of Twente. During my graduation internship at the Head and Neck surgery department of the Antoni van Leeuwenhoek hospital, I developed a strong interest in head and neck cancer and the development of innovative technologies aimed at optimizing surgical procedures and improving oncologic care.

Driven by this interest, in April 2026 I started as a PhD-candidate at the department of Head and Neck Surgery and Surgical Oncology, focusing on fluorescence-guided surgery and photoacoustic imaging.
