Since 2009, I have been working as a Plastic Surgeon at the Erasmus MC performing handsurgery with a focus on  the pediatric hand. Since 2012 I am in the lead of the Pediatric Hand Team in the Sophia Children's Hospital, Erasmus MC, a multidisciplinary team with physiatrists, hand therapists and a clinical geneticist.

Furthermore, I was the lead in the development of the ICHOM PROM set for congenital deformities of the hand and arm.

 

My research focuses on the assessment and optimization of (patient related) outcomes following hand surgery in general and pediatric hands as a focus, genetics in congenital hand differences. Based on national and international databases.
