About M.P. van der Schroeff, Dr.
Introduction
As a pediatric otologist I treat children with various serious middle and inner ear pathology. For example children with cholesteatoma for which extensive ear-surgery is needed. But also children with severe hearing loss who need a cochlear implant to restore hearing, offering them a chance to develop speech and language skills. Next to clinical work I aim to do research predominantly on acquired hearing loss in children.
