Introduction
Florian obtained his bachelor’s and research master’s degrees in Philosophy in 2020 and 2022, respectively, from Radboud University, Nijmegen. He was previously trained as a medical laboratory technician and obtained a propaedeutic certificate in Biology and Medical Laboratory Research from Saxion University of Applied Sciences, Deventer, in 2016. He is currently a PhD candidate at Erasmus MC, working on an interdisciplinary project to historic-ethically analyze the emergence and development of the “gift paradigm”, the idea that bodily materials can only be donated in a voluntary and non-remunerated way.

Florian is currently involved in the research project 'The gift paradigm. A historical-ethical study on the donation of human tissues in Dutch medicine'.
