About L.J. (Laura) van den Brink-Steinmann

Introduction

Data Manager

As a data manager, I support our researchers in organizing the collection, storage, and processing of data. I advise on the setup of new studies, manage our V‑drive and folder structure, and oversee the storage of research data. I am also the point of contact for decentralized IT. In addition, I supervise the use of psychometric questionnaires in both patient care and research contexts.

Field(s) of expertise

My previous work on the online Positive Valence Study and my responsibilities as data manager give me increasing knowledge of digital psychometric data collection.

Through my work with psychometric questionnaires, I am involved in setting up the use of routine clinical care data for research purposes and I am responsible for the routine outcome monitoring of our clinics.

Education and career

I did a research master in Developmental Psychology at Leiden University, where I wrote my thesis on the neural link between self-related processing, self-esteem and self-concept clarity.

Before becoming a Data Manager I worked as a research/teaching assistant on several projects in Developmental Psychology at Leiden University and on the Positive Valence Study (online and fMRI) here at the Erasmus Mc Sophia’s Children’s Hospital. Each related to neurodevelopment or neuropsychiatry.
