Ir. D.M. (Dirk) Schraven

Member of the Executive Board

Dirk Schraven is a member of the Executive Board. His work focuses on innovation, digitalization and major transformation projects including real estate. 

Schraven is no stranger to the healthcare sector: he is an experienced hospital director and has extensive expertise in technological and digital innovations within healthcare.

 

After studying applied physics at Delft University of Technology and obtaining an MBA from Harvard, Schraven began working as a management consultant at the Boston Consultancy Group. Here, he was involved in various healthcare projects. In 2011, he took a next step in his career as he joined the Board of Directors/COO of the St. Antonius Hospital in Nieuwegein.

After a sabbatical, Schraven continued his career in Asia where, as CEO, he was responsible for the start-up of the Gleneagles Hospital in Hong Kong. This hospital is part of the largest Asian private healthcare provider IHH. From 2020 onwards he was responsible for developing their data and digital strategies as well as managing the Value Based Health Care program.

This role brings together many things that I have done in the past such as improving care processes and developing digitalization and data strategies. Moreover, I can contribute to the collaboration with TU Delft, my alma mater.'
