What we do

About our project

Background

In recent years, various motorized exoskeletons are developed that enable walking locomotion after paralysis of the legs. These exoskeletons can currently be used mainly for training purposes. However, they are expensive and have several drawbacks. For example, they are difficult to handle, large and heavy. Due to the high cost and various shortcomings, current exoskeletons are used on a very limited scale.

Project aim

The overall objective is to provide accessibility to exoskeletons for people with spinal cord injury by developing a lightweight and affordable exoskeleton; the Cloudwalker. The development of the Cloud Walker is a co-creation of end-users, clinicians and engineers, to optimize the usability and clinical relevance of the future product.

Project

In this project we will develop a new exoskeleton. During the project several technical and clinical tests will be performed
