About T. (Tom) Beddows

I obtained my medical degree from Erasmus Medical Centre in 2022. Following graduation, I gained clinical experience as a resident in orthopaedics, cardiology and sports medicine. In January 2026 I started as registrar in Sports Medicine at Canisius Wilhemina Hospital Nijmegen.
During my medical study I developed an interest in clinical research within the department of Orthopaedics and Sports Medicine, focusing on groin pain in my favorite sport: field hockey. This research project evolved into a PhD-trajectory, with the focus expanding towards professional football through the PROFE (Professional Female) study. This study examines groin related clinical and radiological outcomes in professional female football players.
