Introduction

Mirna Chamoro is a PhD student in the field of osteoarthritis disease. From 2007 to 2014 she attended Erasmus University (Rotterdam, the Netherlands) where she obtained her medical degree in 2014. During her medical training she was doing research on the ethnical aspects in children with autism spectrum disorder (Social Spectrum Study). After obtaining her medical degree, she started working as a resident in emergency medicine and neurology. During this period she was also involved in research on better clinical management of syncope in the ER (Synergy study). In 2019 she started a combined trajectory as a PhD student and GP in training (AIOTO). Her current research focuses on the diagnosis and treatment of spinal osteoarthritis in patients with back pain. The first results are expected to be presented from August 2021.
