Introduction

I am an Orthopaedic surgeon-Traumatologist-Hand surgeon who is actively involved in research of forearm-, wrist- and hand-pathology in both adult and pediatric patients. In 2014 he successfully defended his thesis 'Forearm fractures in children'. Currently I supervise several PhD-students.

Education and career

I completed my doctoral degree in Medicine at the University of Leuven. In 2003 I graduated cum laude at the University of Leiden. In 2010 I became an orthopaedic surgeon at the Erasmus Medical Center in Rotterdam. In 2014 he passed the FESSH examination (Federation of European Societies for Surgery of the Hand) with a best diploma award. I received grants of more than 1.5 million euro as main applicant or co-applicant.
