Introduction
Gaby van Dijk is a general project manager at the Human Genomics Facility of the Genetic Laboratory of Internal Medicine /Population Genomics. She is an epidemiologist and has a PhD in Medicine. Before joining Population Genomics, she has been working as a postdoctoral researcher at the Department of Epidemiology and was involved in healthy ageing and translational medicine. Her fields of interest are health and behavior.
Education and career
After obtaining her doctorate degree in Human Movement Sciences (cum laude) at the VU University medical centre, Gaby van Dijk worked at the Netherlands Institute for Health Services Research (NIVEL). She participated in several research projects, graduated as an epidemiologist and conducted her PhD study in the field of rehabilitation of elderly patients with osteoarthritis. In more recent years, she has been working as a project manager at the Netherlands Nutrition Centre and as a postdoctoral researcher at the Department of Epidemiology of Erasmus Medical Center. Since 2016, she has been appointed as a project manager at the Human Genomics Facility of Population Genomics.
