Introduction
Dr. G. Elshout is a General Practitioner and employed as an assistant professor at the Department of General Practice.
He received his PhD in 2015 on the subject ‘Febrile children in primary care’ at the Erasmus MC University Medical Center Rotterdam, the Netherlands.
Currently, he is involved as project leader in research on various topics concerning children in primary care (e.g. allergic rhinitis, atopic dermatitis). Different methodologies are applied to study this topics, including cohort studies, randomized controlled trials, and cross-sectional studies.
He is also the head of student education of the department.
Besides this, he still works as a General Practitioner in Vlaardingen.
