Introduction
Dr. F.A. Harms finished her residency in anesthesiology in 2017 afterwards she completed a fellowship in cardiothoracic anesthesiology. Currently she is working as a physician anesthesiologist at the Department of Anesthesiology in the Erasmus MC. Her research work is focused on monitoring mitochondrial oxygenation and function. In 2014 she finished her PhD titled "Toward monitoring of mitochondrial function". During her PhD period she developed a clinical monitoring tool that enables early assessment of mitochondrial dysfunction.
