About L.A. (Laura) Hartman

I research the ethical aspects of artificial intelligence in healthcare and currently work as an embedded ethicist within the 4D PICTURE project. This project develops data-driven DSTs for patients with breast cancer, prostate cancer and melanoma as part of a care path redesign using a methodology called “MetroMapping”. Also, I am vice-chairman of the ethics expertise team of Erasmus MC.

Previously, I worked in the Dutch House of Representatives and at the Council for Public Health & Society and the Center for Ethics and Health. I studied philosophy in Groningen and obtained my PhD on the quality of clinical ethics support at Amsterdam UMC.
