About R.M. (Rianne) Rozendaal, PhD
Introduction
Dr. Rianne Rozendaal is project leader at the Department of General Practice at Erasmus MC with a focus on research infrastructure.She studied Human Movement Sciences at the VU University in Amsterdam. Dr. Rozendaal finished her PhD in 2009 at the Erasmus MC, her dissertation focused on the effect of a supplement, Glucosamine Sulfate, on patients with hip osteoarthritis. During her time as a PhD student she completed a master of Science program in Clinical Epidemiology.
2011 - present:
In 2011 she started the Primeur Network, the academic network of general practitioners. The 15 GP practices that are involved in the network work closely together with the department of general practice in our research projects, vocational training of future GPs and internships of medical students.
2021 - present:
Since 2021 she is also the coordinator of the Trial Office of the research department. The Trial Office has al the expertise needed to perform research projects, such as experienced research assistants, a quality coordinator, policy assistant and the secretary office.
2025:
Dr. Rozendaal is project leader of the Academic General Practice Living Lab – Delta, a knowledge infrastructure which is being formed since the start of 2025 with regional primary care partners.
Furthermore Dr. Rozendaal is involved in the development of the first national network of research-ready general practices. These practices will be equipped and supported to participate in (randomized) clinical trials in the field of general practice. This network was funded by ZonMw grant regarding infrastructure for pandemic preparedness.
