Prestigious KT Deal of the Year Award Goes to TTO Project anDREa

Siyar Kisin, RTTP and Senior Business Development Manager at the Technology Transfer Office (TTO) of Erasmus MC, has proudly received the ASTP Impact Award 2025 in the prestigious 'Knowledge Transfer Deal of the Year' category for his instrumental role in establishing a spin-off company, anDREa B.V.

The winner was announced during the gala dinner at ASTP Annual Conference in Vilnius, Lithuania. ASTP, Europe’s premier association of knowledge transfer professionals, celebrated this year its silver jubilee of 25 years of advancing knowledge transfer globally, bringing together industry professionals, institutions and innovative thinkers.

These core elements are the drivers behind anDREa’s success:  an outstanding concept supported by feasible, innovative technology, a commercially viable and strategically sound path to market, strong market alignment, and meaningful impact on research. At Erasmus MC, Siyar Kisin played a pivotal role in the valorization pathway of this groundbreaking initiative, which has significantly enhanced how researchers access and collaborate on sensitive health data.

From Vision to Impact: The Story Behind anDREa and myDRE

anDREa BV is a collaborative venture owned by three leading university medical centers in the Netherlands: Radboud UMC Nijmegen, Utrecht UMC and Erasmus MC. anDREa is the driving force behind myDRE—the Digital Research Environment that empowers researchers with secure, scalable, and compliant access to sensitive health data.

myDRE is designed to bridge the gap between researchers, IT professionals and data security requirements. It offers a secure, private workspace where users can manage access, collaborate with internal and external partners, and utilize IT resources without burdening central IT departments. Its tool- and data-agnostic architecture supports a wide range of research disciplines and international collaborations.

Since its inception in 2019, myDRE has deployed over 2,000 workspaces, supported 4,500+ users from 30+ countries, and facilitated collaboration across 500 organizations.
