Pitching Masterclass 2025: Innovation, Inspiration and a Winning Vision
Rotterdam, June 12, 2025 — The final day of the Pitching Masterclass 2025, organized by the Technology Transfer Office (TTO) at Erasmus MC, marked a celebration of innovation, entrepreneurial spirit and academic excellence.
Empowering Drug Discovery: TTO Erasmus MC Facilitates Collaboration for MCT8 Deficiency
Good news for children with MCT8 deficiency, a rare genetic thyroid disease. The European Medicines Agency (EMA) has approved the drug tiratricol, rediscovered and investigated by Erasmus MC for this patient group. This approval means that the drug will soon be available to patients throughout Europe.

Erasmus MC Masterplan 2050 Approved: a Step Forward in the Development of Erasmus MC Campus
We are thrilled to announce that the Masterplan 2050 for the Erasmus MC Campus has been confirmed by the Rotterdam municipal council! This is a monumental step to a new Erasmus MC Campus in the heart of Rotterdam.

LYLA (previously AlphaPace) is a spin-off company from Delft University of Technology and Erasmus MC, with support from Delft Enterprises B.V., TU Delft | Reactor Institute, and all others that helped to turn pioneering research from TU Delft and Erasmus MC into an impactful solution for cancer diagnostics and treatment.
