This group studies the societal and individual impact of conditions diagnosed and/or treatments given in the emergency department. Focus is on patient education and intoxication.

Why was this group formed?

To identify risk factors for different conditions in the emergency department (ED), possibly develop strategies to prevent these conditions and/or optimize patient education in the ED.

What is the overall aim?

Identify risk factors and develop intervention strategies for patients in the emergency department, focus on patient education.

What type of research do you focus on in this group?

Cross sectional research to identify risk factors and intervention research (in RCTs) to study implementation of strategies to prevent illness.
