What we do
About our project
Background
Several studies have suggested that maternal immune activation during pregnancy, either acutely related to an infection or more chronically related to inflammation, may be linked to later child behavioral and neurodevelopment.
This study examines how prenatal exposure to cytokine profiles is linked to neurodevelopment. We use both behavioral measures (e.g., anxiety, depression, autistic traits) and brain imaging (e.g, brain structure) measured during childhood and adolescence to understand the potential impact of prenatal maternal immune activation.
