About T.J. (Tjeerd) de Jong PhD student
Introduction
I studied medicine from 2013 to 2020. In that period I learned that connection is the key to improving healthcare. With a focus on the strengths of every individual teammember, I believe that everybody can work together. Developing new skills in various fields of discipline, like economics, arts, physics, allows me to be adaptive and well prepared for new challenges.
Field(s) of expertise
I currently work as a PhD student on the subject of social and emotional development in children with hearing loss. Additionally, I investigate the life expectancy of elderly patients with oropharyngeal cancer. During my medicine study I was active as life support teacher, mathematics tutor and hospitality manager.
