Elementary schools and clubs will again be able to join in Sophia’s Lights Walk this year, which will be taking place in December.
Help for children
The lantern walk was first held last year as a new activity for the annual fundraising campaign Lichtjes voor Sophia. More than 13,000 elementary school pupils participated in the walk in 2017. The walk is part of the annual Lights campaign, in which you can buy a light in the hospital’s Christmas tree. The walk can be held in your own hometown and on a day of choice in December, to show support for all the children in Sophia Children’s Hospital.“In one word - amazing! There was a great atmosphere during the walk and it raised a substantial amount for Sophia”
- Sharda Chotkoe, teacher at Paus Joannes school in Rotterdam
