Location

The Erasmus MC is situated on Dr. Molewaterplein in Rotterdam. There are three entrances: the main entrance, the Zimmermanweg entrance and the Wytemaweg entrance. There are ‘Kiss & Ride’ zones in front of each of these entrances, where a car or taxi can drop you off.

Travelling by public transport?

Bus no. 44 en no. 32 stops next to the entrances. The Dijkzigt metro station is also close to the entrances.

Entrances

Whichever entrance you use, take the lift, stairs or escalator to the first floor. This is where you will find the reception desks and self-service registration kiosks, as well as the entrances to the other buildings. The pedestrian areas on the first floor linking all the buildings are called Arcade, Passage and Plein. You’ll find seated waiting areas, shops, coffee bars and cafeterias in these areas.

These are reception desks at all the entrances, where you can obtain information and assistance. If you are a patient arriving at the Erasmus MC, you should make sure you have an ID document with you (such as a passport, driving licence or identity card) and use this to register at one of the registration kiosks near the entrance. Once you have registered, you will be issued with a day slip listing your appointment(s) for the day, and the department(s) where you need to report. If you need any help with registration, just ask one of the hosts or hostesses to give you a hand. You’ll see a number of them near the registration kiosks.

The entrance to the Accident & Emergency department is on Dr. Molewaterplein, to the left of the main entrance.

Car parks

There are two multi-storey car parks: the Westzeedijk car park and the Wytemaweg car park. The pedestrian exit from the car park will take you to one of the pedestrian areas in the hospital: Arcade, Passage or Plein.
