Group Van Deurzen

We aim to understand breast cancer progression and treatment response by studying both cancer cells and the micro-environment.

About our research group/lab

Our research

Our main research subjects are:

  • Subtype-specific characteristics of ductal carcinoma in situ of the breast, aiming to optimize treatment decisions
  • Triple negative breast cancer: predictors of treatment response and seeking for treatment targets for those patients with poor response to neoadjuvant chemotherapy
  • HER2-low breast cancer: optimizing diagnostics to select patients with potential benefit from novel therapies.
