Introduction
Hamed Abbasi received his Ph.D. in Biomedical Engineering from University of Basel.
He started his work as a postdoctoral researcher at Erasmus MC, Department of Otorhinolaryngology, & Head and Neck Surgery, in 2021
In collaboration with Center for Optical Diagnostics and Therapy and Department of Pathology, he works on the project “Improving surgical removal of oral cancer using a unique, innovative combination of fluorescence-guided surgery and Raman spectroscopy”, led by Dr. S. Keereweer. The project is sponsored by Daniel den Hoed Award for young scientific talent and aims to increase the surgical success rate of tumor resection in oral cancer
