About

Introduction

During the many years that I have been employed as a research scientist, my career path has been both varied and interesting. More recently, I have been involved in research relating to the development of new strategies against antibiotic resistant infections (new antibiotics, delivery mechanisms and diagnostics), as well as the development and implementation of  new (Point-of-Care and microbiota profiling) microbial technologies.

Field(s) of expertise

  • Antibiotic resistance mechanisms
  • The assessment and implementation barriers to new (Point-of-Care) microbiological diagnostic technologies
  • Nanopore sequencing and the human microbiota
