All healthcare treatment that cannot be postponed will continue to be provided at Erasmus MC with all necessary precautions. Because your health and that of our staff is of paramount importance to us, we are taking the following measures.
Hospital appointments
Outpatient appointments will be held by phone where possible. However, if you have been asked to come to your appointment with your physician or nurse, have a blood sample taken, or an x-ray made, then it is important for your health that you come to the hospital.Your healthcare practitioner will gauge what is best for you and your health. Do you have a head cold, fever, shortness of breath, or cough? Please call the number mentioned in your appointment letter to discuss what you should do.
Safety and protection
We are ensuring that patients and staff keep a safe distance from one another. Infected patients are separated from patients who are not infected. In the event of suspected infections, we take additional protective measures and we make testing available for you and our staff. Also see our important information for visitors to prevent the spread of the coronavirus.Pregnancy
It is also important for the health of pregnant women and their unborn child that they can continue to come to the hospital for check-ups and other appointments.
Day-patient cancer treatment and admissions
Cancer treatment including day-patient treatments such as chemotherapy or radiotherapy and planned hospitalizations will go ahead as usual. We will contact you if this changes in the future.
