Na mijn studie Geneeskunde ben ik opgeleid tot Tropenarts en later tot Anesthesioloog. Tijdens mijn opleiding heb ik mij toegelegd op de urgentie geneeskunde, perioperatieve zorg, duurzaamheid en anesthesie in de tropen. Hiernaast ben ik gepromoveerd op locoregionale anesthesie van de arm.
