Met het complicatiespreekuur voor fillers en botox proberen we patiënten te helpen waarbij een behandeling niet goed is gegaan. Daarnaast hopen we dat ons wetenschappelijke onderzoek, het opleiden van jonge dokters en collega’s van de gehele wereld, de patiëntveiligheid in de cosmetische geneeskunde verhoogd.

Werkervaring
Assistant Professor Tom S. Decates (1980) MD PhD studeerde geneeskunde in het AMC, verbonden aan de Universiteit van Amsterdam. Daarna heeft hij drie jaar plastisch chirurgische ervaring opgedaan Amsterdam, Leiden en Eindhoven. Waarna hij zich in 2011 volledig gespecialiseerd heeft in de Cosmetische Geneeskunde.
Opleiding
Sinds 2016 doet hij wetenschappelijk onderzoek naar de complicaties van fillers in het Amsterdam UMC en het ErasmusMC te Rotterdam. In 2021 promoveerde hij op dit onderwerp.
Daarnaast is hij hoofd van het opleidingsinstituut voor de Cosmetische Geneeskunde.
