Feyenoord has players' shirts tested for corona

August 21, 2020

According to Erasmus MC virologist Annemiek van der Eijk, this was an initiative of Casper van Eijck. "Casper is closely involved with the team and has asked us to check whether the virus can be found on the shirts,"" Van der Eijk told Feyenoord TV. "We do not expect it, due to the fact that the players were tested negative two days before the match and all the measures that are taken, but these tests provide complete certainty."

Van der Eijk continues: "Feyenoord wants to do everything possible to guide the Eredivisie and the club as safely as possible through this pandemic, look at all the rules for the players and the measures at the training complex 1908. This research goes even further."
