Looking for 1000 travelers for research on mosquito an tickborne infections

The summer holidays have started for many people and they often bring a lot of mosquitoes and ticks with them. Besides unpleasant itching, red spots and bumps, these insects can also transmit diseases to humans and animals.

The UMC Utrecht, Erasmus MC and the Leiden University Medical Center (LUMC) are starting a study (One Health Travel Study) into the prevention of infections transmitted by mosquitoes and ticks. They are looking for 1,000 travelers who want to contribute.

They are recruiting travellers that are planning to visit:
European countries (including NL)
Now until October 2021
May 2022 to October 2022
Dutch Caribbean
Now till October 2022 
Important note: they will not be able to include travellers that are already back from their holidays.
 
As of today, 140 travellers have registered to participate.
