An online monthly seminar series will allow PhD candidates to showcase their work and connect with everyone in the virology community.
The presentations can be attended by anyone interested in virology, including other PhD candidates, students, postdocs and professors. Register at https://www.knvm.org/virology/dyvs/registration to receive the Zoom link to attend the seminar as well as updates on future seminars.
The presentations will be followed by a gathering in www.gather.town, where you are free to continue discussions and socialize with fellow virologists.
We are looking forward to see you there!
The presenters of the first seminar held on Wednesday May 19th were:
1. Shirley Braspenning, Erasmus MC – “Varicella-zoster virus VLT and VLT-ORF63 proteins are dispensable for lytic infection in cell culture”,
2. Julia Eder, Amsterdam UMC – “SARS-CoV-2 infection depends on heparin sulfates and is blocked by low molecular weight heparins”.
